Security Department Basics

Section I > Introduction
The Security Department is the largest department within Paragon Research Institute and is the primary combative force responsible for ensuring the safety & security of all personnel.
This document aims to provide the foundations for understanding the operations of the Security Department as well as provide basic information aobut the Department.
Section II > Chain of Command
Security Cadet > Security Class 0
The entry rank of the Security Department. Security Cadets must go through the Cadet Program before becoming fully-fledged members of the Security Department.
In order to progress to the next rank, Cadets will need to:
Attend one Orientation.
This must be completed before being able to get on-site. Requires a score of 5/6 in the quiz segment to pass.
Attend Two Generalized Trainings.
One must be a Combat Training.
One must be a General Site Operations Training.
Log 1 hour of on-site activity on the Security Department team.
Pass the Security Cadet Progression Exam with a score of at least 110/130.
Security Junior > Security Class 1
Security Juniors are fully-fledged members of the Security Department, they are able to perform all duties with no restrictions. They are the standard Security Department Rank.
In order to progress to the next rank, Juniors will need to:
Attend Three Generalized Trainings.
At least one must be a General Site Operations Training.
Log 15 hours of on-site activity on the Security Department team.
Be a member of the Security Department for 2 consecutive weeks.
Security Guard > Security Class 1
Security Guards are experienced members of the Security Department. As such, they have more responsibilities than normal Juniors.
In order to progress to the next rank, Guards will need to:
Log 30 hours of on-site activity on the Security Department team.
Attend Three Generalized Trainings.
Pass the Senior Tryout.
Pass the Security Senior Progression Exam with a score of at least 85/105.
Security Senior> Security Class 1
Security Seniors are veteran members of the Security Department. Those with this rank have the choice to attend the SD Academy if they wish to progress towards Sentinel. Seniors have the ability to act during trainings and co-host Orientations. Seniors are held to a higher standard than other Security Personnel, and as such, will be punished more severely, especially regarding cases of immaturity.
In order to progress to the next rank, Seniors will need to complete:
Log 40 hours of on-site activity on the Security Department team.
Pass/Complete the Senior Coordination Training(Required for SD Protocol Usage)
Graduate from the SD Academy.
Be evaluated and selected by Security Command.
For a Security Senior to apply for the Security Academy, they must have accumulated 8 experience credits.
Experience credits are given to Security Seniors for completing certain on-site tasks, providing necessary experience for future Security Command members. All of the following will count towards experience credits:
Supervising a Cadet escorting a test (CR or MCZ) [1 Point]
Escorting a test (CR, MCZ, HCZ) [1 Point]
Responding to a riot [1 Point]
Mock Acting in an event; successfully passing the mock act [1 Point]
Co-hosting a Orientation [2 Points]
Security Junior Command
Security Sentinel > Security Class 2 │Limit: 20
Security Sentinels are members of Security Junior Command, and they have shown dedication and loyalty to the Security Department. They have the ability to Host training sessions and are able to assist Security Officers in their general tasks. Command members with [DE] or [IN] are on inactivity notice.
Security Medium Command
Security Officer > Security Class 2 │Limit: 10
Security Officers are members of the Security Medium Command. They are the backbone of the Security Command structure as they have the ability to host different events and to hand out punishments to lower Security Members.
Security High Command
Security Inspector > Security Class 3 │Limit: 4
Security Inspectors are members of the Security High Command, they are responsible for most administrative work of the Security Department and assist the Security Chief in running the department. They have the ability to issue any punishment.
Inspectors are picked by Security Central and High Command.
Security Central Command
Security Deputy Chief > Security Class 4 │Limit: 1
The Security Deputy Chief assists the Security Chief and Security Overseer in overseeing operations carried out by the Security Department and its detachments. Should the Security Overseer and Security Chief be absent, the Security Deputy Chief will take over in running the department.
The Security Deputy Chief is picked by the Security Chief and Security Overseer.
Security Chief > Security Class 4 │Limit: 1
The Security Chief is the face of the department and is responsible for any and all operations carried out by the Security Department and its detachments. The Security Chief works closely with the Security Overseer in order to ensure the Security Department is doing well.
The Security Chief is picked by the Security Overseer.
Section III > Departmental Detachments
The Security Department has 2 detachments, which are both specialized in their own field and line of work. The 2 detachments are, the Military Police and the Security Response Unit.
Military Police “Discipline for Justice”
The Military Police is the enforcement unit of the Security Department. The Military Police works closely with the Ethics Committee in order to apprehend rule breakers.
The Military Police has a limit of 45 non-command Constables.
The Military Police Duties consist of enforcement of the Code of Ethics, pursuit, capture and detainment of rogue personnel, assisting the Ethics Committee and control of the Clean Rooms.
Security Response Unit “Wardens of Peace”
The Security Response Unit is the rapid response team of the Security Department. They are responsible for handling combat related events that base Security Personnel are unable to handle with use of specialized equipment.
The Security Response Unit has a limit of 60 Agents.
The Security Response Unit duties consist of riot response, hostage negotiations, rogue personnel interception and capture, containment of SCPs.
Security Department Juniors are permitted to join detachments though must reach the rank of Security Guard in order to progress in said detachment.
Security Department members are only allowed to join one detachment.
