Securing the CDCZ is the first and most critical duty of the Security Department, and at least five security personnel are required here before other posts can be taken. Security personnel will protect the CDCZ from hostiles, enforce rules applicable to Class-Ds, and prevent escapes.
Security Personnel are permitted to freely patrol around the site if they see one or more SRU members present at the Guardline unless:
SRU/SD Command explicitly recalls SD back to the CDC/or use the panic button to signify that SD must come back.
Rise/Riot Protocol is currently active.
Security Cadets are not authorized within the CDCZ and must assume other posts unless authorized by:
Security Guard+.
MTF Specialist+.
Lambda-7 Operative+.
Rise or Riot Protocol is active.
There are fewer than five personnel guarding and no other security personnel on-site can station there (ex, not enough players in-game).
Security Command has the authority to recall all unoccupied security personnel to the CDCZ when instability is significant, and rioting is imminent or ongoing.
Use of force against Class-Ds must follow the Class-D Solitary & Termination Criteria.
Proper equipment must be used against Class-Ds. Fists cannot be used.
Security Personnel should enforce the Class-D Containment Zone schedule while guarding; it is as follows:
Freetime - 20 Minutes
Testing Time - 10 Minutes
Lockup - 5 Minutes
During Freetime, Security Personnel are disallowed from striking any Class-Ds unless it is an instant DFSC reason. Lockup and Test Call follow regular striking procedures.
When Lockup occurs, it will be signalled by a ringing bell like the other Schedule changes. Security Personnel are expected to push all Class-Ds back to the lockup gates and into the mines (located to the left of the gates). Refer to the images below.
In the case that Class-Ds ignore or the gates close, Security Personnel are to terminate the corresponding Class-Ds.
Lockup Gates
Mines
Class-Ds who cross the RED line during Lockup are to be terminated.
When the CDCZ is stable and sufficiently guarded, and no escort requests are pending, security personnel should assume positions at designated Points of Interest on-site.
Security personnel can be recalled to the CDCZ at any point by Security Command.
Security personnel must respect the jurisdiction of other combatives at certain Points of Interest (shown below in the order of highest importance to least important)
1. Loading Bay (Located in the Clean Rooms)
2. Clean Rooms (Located in HOC)
3. Hamilton Office Complex (HOC)
Alternatively, Security Department personnel may begin patrolling the site in search of any hostile threats or escaped Class-D personnel.
While members of the Security Department are free to patrol almost all areas, the same restrictions as listed in On-Site Guidelines still apply. When patrolling, members of the Security Department are subject to the authority of the bodies responsible for the general safety of the area. The authority for each zone is laid out below;
Anomalous Containment Hub - Eta-9 “Wardens”
JFK Administration Wing - Military Police / (Delta-1 "Gatekeepers" during AD Event)
Class-D Containment Zone - Security Response Unit
Hamilton Office Complex - Military Police
*Exceptions to this authority include: Delta-1 “Gatekeepers” Guarding a VIP in the zone.
Security Department personnel are still expected to follow the chain of command, regardless of area.
While patrolling, Security Department personnel are expected not to be idling for extended periods of time; instead, they should be patrolling key areas or vantage points around the area.
While patrolling, Security Personnel may also act as Taxis and pick up Civils and drop them off at their desired location, excluding restricted areas.
